Frequently Asked Questions
💸 How much does it cost?
The cohort fee is €XXX (final pricing to be announced). This includes everything: group sessions, writing support, editing, design, publishing, 10 printed copies, and your share of book proceeds. No hidden fees.
📆 What’s the time commitment?
Plan for 3–5 hours per week during the 8-week cohort. This includes writing your chapter, reading peers’ chapters during review rounds, and attending live online sessions.
✍️ How long should my chapter be?
Chapters are typically 3,500–5,000 words. This length gives you room to share your story or ideas in depth, without the overwhelm of writing an entire book.
📚 Who owns the rights to my chapter?
You retain full rights to your work. You’re welcome to expand it into a full-length book, blog series, or other project in the future. Contigo Press only publishes the version included in the anthology.
📦 What do I get at the end?
You’ll hold a professionally printed book (anthology) in your hands, with your chapter inside. You’ll receive 10 copies (estimated retail value €20 each) and an equal share of book sale profits (or the option to donate your share to a cause). Most importantly, you’ll leave with the pride of being a published author.
👥 Who else will be in my cohort?
Each group is capped at 8–12 writers. You’ll be alongside others who have long dreamed of publishing and are committed to the same goal. The mix of voices is part of what makes each anthology unique.
🌍 Do I need to be in Europe to join?
No! Cohorts are fully online, and writers can participate from anywhere in the world.
🤔 What if I fall behind?
We know life happens. That’s why we build accountability and peer support into the process. As long as you stay engaged, we’ll help you cross the finish line.
🎉 What happens after the book is published?
We’ll host a virtual launch event where readers from around the world can meet the authors. You’ll also have the option to join a dedicated space in our online community to stay connected with other Contigo Press authors.
